Logitech has unveiled its first Mac compatible webcam with autofocus technology and Carl Zeiss (the Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro webcam for Mac) optics. The new webcam is using  a voice coil motor for its autofocus system instead of the usual stepper motor. Focusing is fast and fluid even from up close at 10 cm from the camera lens. The camera has a 2-megapixel sensor which helps in capturing video images in high resolution. It is assisted by Logitech’s RightLight Technology, which allows the webcam to adjust intelligently in dim or harshly backlighted situations.

You can use the new Logitech webcam with iChat or Skype and enjoy a VGA-quality video at up to 30 frames per second. The camera can record sharp video clips in the 720p high-definition (HD) video format (960-by-720 pixels). It it availabale in black-and-silver profile with a prominent built-in silver microphone. It will be available next month for around $130.
