Fujifilm will launch a new 12 megapixel camera in line with its award-winning F-Series which features Face Detection 3.0 technology with 360-degree detection ranges.

Scheduled in September for $299.95, the Fujifilm’s FinePix F60fd, a 12 megapixel with 3x optical zoom digital camera will feature a 230,000 pixel 3.0″ LCD Screen, face detection 3.0 with automatic red eye removal and a proprietary Scene Recognition (SR) technology.

Under the new SR mode, the camera identifies the subjects, scenes and faces and automatically adjusts exposure, focus, white balance to ensure image clarity and sharpness. Fujifilm’s Face Detection 3.0 technology detects up to 10 human faces in a scene in just 0.036 seconds, fast enough to detect a subject in motion, and automatically corrects focus and exposure. The FinePix F60fd supports up to ISO 6400 and video recording with 640*480 resolution at 25 fps and measures 92.5 x 22.9 x 59.2mm at 182g.
