3M has announced the MPro100, a pocket projector that can be connected most handheld devices in the market, including digital cameras, PSP, iPod and iPhones. Once these devices are connected to the projector, the MPro100 is able to project images in 640×480 resolution with a 50 inch diagonal in any white surface.The palm sized projector has a very slick design, it is fanless, speakerless and the first in the market.
According to Popular Science who has given a sample unit for testing, “Images were discernable up to about 11 inches across, even under our bright fluorescent office lights. But they were definitely faded.”
The 3M MPro100 will be available on September 30, 2008 with a price of $359.

Sony Ericsson has announced a youtube ready, sexy, shiny, slim slider design cell phone called Sony Ericsson G705.
The Sony Ericsson G705 has a 2.4-inch display and its 3.2-megapixel camera can capture YouTube-compatible videos. It also offers a lot of features like digital zoom, flash and video light, picture blogging and PictBridge photo printing.
Other features include Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, music player, FM radio, speakerphone, voice recorder, Java support, messaging and e-mail, USB mass storage, personal organizer features, 3G (UMTS and HSDPA) and an HTML browser.
The G705 will arrive in worldwide markets in the first quarter of 2009.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1, the much awaited Windows Mobile 6 Professional powered smartphone will be released this coming October and its Software Development Kit is now available for free. The SDK is a set of development tools that allows software engineers and enthusiasts to develop custom applications for the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 handset.
The XPERIA X1 features a full alphabetic (QWERTY) keyboard with a unique “arc” slider design, metallic body and a large 3″ display with a WVGA(800 x 480) pixel resolution touchscreen display and built-in GPS receiver.
According to reports from Register Hardware, the handset’s problems with Windows Mobile 6.1 have been resolved. Germany, UK and the USA will be the first countries to get the handset this coming October while other countries will have to wait until next year.

Dell has become the latest PC manufacturer who joined the netbook bandwagon by revealing the details of its Inspiron Mini 9 netbook. With design similar to other Inspirons, the 8.9-inch portable once rumored as the Inspiron 910 has a 1.6GHz Intel Atom chip and weighs less than 2.3 pounds. The Inspiron Mini 9 has features missing from other netbooks like a near full-size and spill-proof keyboard, Wi-Fi and USB ports.
The basic model, priced at $349 will have a 512MB RAM, 4GB SSD, Ubuntu Linux, Wifi, 4-cell battery pack in a black colored chassis. You’ll have to add another $25 if you want the white chassis and if the 4GB SSD is not enough for you, you can add $35 for the 8GB SSD, or $75 for the 16GB SSD. The Windows XP edition will be priced at $449 and will have a 1GB RAM, 8GB SSD, Bluetooth and Webcam. If the 8GB SSD is not enough for you, you can add $40 for the 16GB SSD.
The Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook will be available in the market starting tomorrow.
