Nokia E63 is now official

Nokia formally launched the Nokia E63, a more budget friendly full QWERTY smartphone designed as alternative to the Nokia E71. The Nokia E63 is designed for users who would like to better manage their life from the palm of their hand. Unlike the E71’s part-metal, the E63 uses plastic casing that also lets Nokia use brighter colors.Aside from the full QWERTY  keyboard, the Nokia E63 features a 2.36-inch 320×240 QVGA display, a 2-megapixel camera with digital zoom and LED flash, support for WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 and support for WCDMA 3G 900/2100 or 850/1900 or 850/2100 quad-band GSM networks.

The E63 has the ability to switch from business mode to personal mode. By simply pressing a single key, users can view corporate mail and appointments, pressing another key will enable the users to check pictures, email and shortcuts to favorite websites.

LG Electronics has launched the KC780, a 13.9 mm thick, 8-megapixel, slim slider camera phone with features ideal for shooting portraits. The LG-KC780 sports a 2.4-inch widescreen LCD, an 8-megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach lens making it capable of taking high quality photos.

“We found that most of the time people use the cameras on their mobile phones to take pictures of themselves, their families, friends and significant others,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “With this in mind, LG developed the LG-KC780 with a number of face-enhancing features to augment its high quality 8 megapixel camera.”

The KC780 phone has several features including advanced face and smile detection, image stabilizer, integrated motion sensor, ability to make DVD-quality videos and a “Smart Bluetooth”. Smart Bluetooth makes your phone a web cam when connected to a PC and it will make transferring of files from your phone to the computer a lot easier. A big storm is coming next month and it is going to be a cause of a big celebration for Verizon Wireless customers. Verizon Wireless officially debuts the “Blackberry Storm”, the first touch-screen BlackBerry.

The storm features a 3.25-inch diagonal display with a 480×360 pixel resolution and support for 65,000 colors. The phone has a 3.5mm headphone jack, four shortcut keys (Talk and End, Back, and BlackBerry menu) and a microSD slot. It is equipped with the most comprehensive global roaming capabilities than other wireless devices in the market today, featuring EV-DO Rev. A, quadband EDGE, and 2100MHz HSPA for Europe.

The blackberry Storm also includes a full HTML finger-navigable browser, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint editing capabilities, Bluetooth 2.0 with support for stereo Bluetooth headsets and dial-up networking, GPS, 1GB of on-board storage with an 8GB microSD card bundled in the box, automatic orientation and ambient lighting sensors, and a 3.2-megapixel auto-focus camera with video recording, auto focus, and dedicated flash.

Storm includes a new feature called “ClickThrough”, a unique suspension system that lies beneath the phone’s display, making the display a clickable surface where everything can be pressed downwards, like a real button.

Nokia has formally launched the much awaited Xpress Music Tube 5800  or simply “the Nokia Tube” which is rumored to be the “iPhone killer”.

The Nokia XpressMusic 5800 has a 3.2-inch 16M colors touchscreen with an impressive 640 x 360 screen resolution. It sports a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera with Carl Zeiss lens and a dual LED flash. Other features include a GPS receiver, WiFi radio, quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/EDGE radio,  8GB built in flash memory, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSDHC card slot which offers storage upto 32 GB.
